The Induction Program is a professional development initiative for educators with an "Initial" license in Colorado. It's a mandatory step for acquiring a Colorado Professional Educator License. The program encompasses comprehensive training in various aspects such as understanding the demographics of Montrose and Olathe Schools, mastering educational systems and tools used by MCSD, and adhering to the Educator Evaluation System. It also covers professional responsibilities, classroom management, standards-based teaching, literacy and math best practices, and effective communication strategies. The program is designed to support new educators, enhance their teaching skills, and ensure their alignment with district and state educational standards and policies. This includes meeting the requirements of Senate Bill 10-191 for educator evaluations.
