AVID (OMHS)

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a global nonprofit organization focused on closing the opportunity gap in education. It prepares students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. AVID's approach is centered around teaching skills and behaviors for academic success, providing intensive support with tutorials and strong student/teacher relationships, creating a positive peer group for students, and developing a sense of hope for personal achievement gained through hard work and determination.

AVID is implemented at Olathe Middle High School.
